Nashville Atlanta Recommendations
Between Atlanta and Nashville, you'll go through Chattanooga, TN.
Having grown up in the Midwest, I remember barn roofs painted with ads saying, "See Rock City" and "Visit Ruby Falls". Now they have web sites. These are attractions on Lookout Mountain in Chattanooga. It's also an important Civil War site. You can't miss Lookout Mountain; the interstate goes right by it. |

Nashville Atlanta Recommendations
Chattanooga has an interesting acquarium (the seahorse exhibit is
especially nice). If you stop there, when I-24 branches off to Nashville (left), take the lanes that say "downtown" (only a short distance from the I-24/US 27 split. The acquarium is just a short distance from US 27 and there are obvious signs and plenty of parking. Near the acquarium there is a footbridge across the river; the north bank of the river is nicely renovated into a park. In Nashville, if you like museums, check out the Frist Museum (which currently has an excellent traveling exhibit). Cheekwood Botantical Gardens are nice too. On the other hand, if country music is your thing, there's plenty of tourist lit telling about these places. Coming into TN from Atlanta, stop at the TN Visitors' Center almost immediately after crossing the state line. Jeff Lanam wrote in message . ..
