Default San Juan Hotels

I heard good and bad. The renovation is completed so there is a good chance
we won't have any probablems. I just want a clean room. February is a busy
month so $100 isn't too much to pay. I'll post a review of the stay at the
Normandie along with some pictures after I get back. I did bid on a 3 star.
I tried a four star for about 5 weeks with no results.

The Normandie is a dump from what I've heard from numerous sources. It
probably wouldn't qualify for 1 star in the US. Ben Smith stayed there
and had major problems with it.

Priceline hasn't been good for you this time. That's exactly why I'm very
nervous about using Priceline.

I sailing out of San Juan on the Adventure of the seas on Feb. 26th. I
used priceline and got the Normandie which is right next to the Caribe
Hilton. The room goes for $265 and I got it for $100. Two years ago I got
the Caribe for $75. Priceline has always been great for me. Try bidding
on a 4 star first. You will have a better chance on the price you want to
pay as the date gets closer. Make sure you state San Juan. There's only
a few hotels that have a 3 or 4 star rating. Normadie is a 3 1/2 star
rating. It was just totaly renovated.

I'm thinking of booking the Crown Princess out of San Juan in November,
and I would be coming in a day early to avoid potential travel problems.

Can anyone reccomend some hotels in San Juan for a single night pre
cruise stay? I'm looking for something reasonably priced, clean, etc.
Most
of the hotels Princess uses are a little too pricey for my budget.

Pete
