At least he has a mattress and a cooker now.

He's got a cooker? When did that happen?

During the Xmas holidays. At the same time he was given a mattress,
according to his blog. www.aprenta.blogspot.com

to pay it a visit. I got some light bulbs, a rag to soak up water when it
spills on the floor,...."

And I don't have those

between classes.

Buy a laptop then. Most of my 'poor' students have one. For someone that
makes stoopid jokes about Europeans 'saving' for colour TVs, you've one
heck of a cheek.

To tell the truth, I suspect some of my full-time students earn more per
annum than you just with the bar work they do...

I'd think 40-50 hours a week to be a high estimate. My guess would be
about 35.

Mixi needs 50 hours because he's incompetent.

because he can't sleep properly in his cramped overheated chief
executive type cupboard.

and because he makes less than Eur35 a day, according to his blog, which
makes frightening reading.

I'd need a computer and reference materials for that.

Rubbish. Print off the original and use a *pen* to write the translation on
to another piece.

Where would the cockroaches live?

As I wrote, the leftovers are nearly finished!

Following up to Martin :

A fair number of ESL/EFL teachers teach only part-time and then
reserve remaining time for something that is more lucrative but does
not provide enough work for full-time employment.

but you don't?

He just wastes the remaining time.
