Travelling To Egypt

I'm heading out to Egypt in a little more then three weeks. I'll be there
for about 12 days and have a pretty full schedule for much of that time, but
I'll be spending about 3 days in Hurgada on the Red Sea. I'm not much of a
beach comber, so any suggestions on other things to do there. I figure a
day at the beach might be nice, but from there, I'd like to know if there
are other things to do as well.

Also, I'd like to pick up a good guide book to take along as well. Any
suggestions on the best one? I'll be Cairo for several days, then on a Nile
Cruise (Luxor, Aswan, etc.) and finally in Hurgada before heading back to
Cairo. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks much!
