List of Radio Stations with regular traffic reports

I don't think that such a list would currently exists because likely
the main traffic station in one city is owned by a different company
than the main traffic station in another city.

For most big cities, the best candidates would be the news or news/talk
stations. THe music stations do not do traffic reports often enough to
warrant mention.

I agree. A station list would be extremely helpful while traveling.

101.5 FM for NJ, but I have no idea when their traffic reports are.

New Jersey 101.5 FM has traffic 24/7 every fifteen minutes, on the :03,
:18, :33, and :48.
WTOP, which used to broadcast on 1500 AM in the DC metro, now primarily
broadcasts on 103.5 FM and also on 820 AM. They are every ten minutes
on the 8's.

I enjoyed listening to the traffic reports on WBBM when I was through
there. The long barrage of expressway/tollway names and times in and

There's no way I'm filling out all of that information, but AM 1070 in
Los Angeles has traffic reports for LA county, Orange county, and other
surrounding counties I guess "on the 5s." So they are every 10 minutes,
even at 1:05 AM.

There's one up in San Fransisco that is similar but I forget the
numbers now.
KCBS, 740. :08,:18,etc.

But I believe most of the traffic people are employed by Metro Traffic
(http://metronetworks.com/)

I agree. A station list would be extremely helpful while traveling.

Many markets don't have traffic reports as frequent as those in the
top-3 or top-5 markets. I find Traffic.com to be a useful alternative.

It's about the only choice. I really miss having an all-news station in
San Diego; we can get KNX, but it's LA-centric for obvious reasons. The
old KSDO was the closest thing to that.

There's also KFMB AM 760 for semi-regular reports, but that's pretty much a
talker station only. KOGO at least has some news programs.
