List of Radio Stations with regular traffic reports
Steve A. wrote: You may only get from various areas... DC has 1500, no idea when their reports are AM 1010 and 880 for the NY area, on the 1's and 8's respectively (except when 880 broadcasts sports) 101.5 FM for NJ, but I have no idea when their traffic reports are. New Jersey 101.5 FM has traffic 24/7 every fifteen minutes, on the :03, :18, :33, and :48. WTOP, which used to broadcast on 1500 AM in the DC metro, now primarily broadcasts on 103.5 FM and also on 820 AM. They are every ten minutes on the 8's. |

List of Radio Stations with regular traffic reports

It was like a taste of Southern California (or, perhaps, the Chicagoans would argue KNX is like a taste of Illinois). I enjoyed listening to the traffic reports on WBBM when I was through there. The long barrage of expressway/tollway names and times in and out from various locations would make most out-of-towners' heads spin. |

List of Radio Stations with regular traffic reports
In article . com, Mayer Samuels wrote:
I don't think that such a list would currently exists because likely the main traffic station in one city is owned by a different company than the main traffic station in another city. But I believe most of the traffic people are employed by Metro Traffic (http://metronetworks.com/) I agree. A station list would be extremely helpful while traveling. Many markets don't have traffic reports as frequent as those in the top-3 or top-5 markets. I find Traffic.com to be a useful alternative. -- Steve Sobol, Professional Geek ** Java/VB/VC/PHP/Perl ** Linux/*BSD/Windows Victorville, California PGP:0xE3AE35ED It's all fun and games until someone starts a bonfire in the living room. |

Perhaps you're thinking of KGO (AM 610)? KGO is on 810. The station on 610 in SF is religious. -- Doug Smith W9WI Pleasant View (Nashville), TN EM66 http://www.w9wi.com |

List of Radio Stations with regular traffic reports
Scott en Aztlan writes:
When I pass through San Diego, I always tune to AM 600 KOGO. Their reports aren't as frequent as KNX, but it's the best I've found while scanning through the dial. It's about the only choice. I really miss having an all-news station in San Diego; we can get KNX, but it's LA-centric for obvious reasons. The old KSDO was the closest thing to that. There's also KFMB AM 760 for semi-regular reports, but that's pretty much a talker station only. KOGO at least has some news programs. -- Cameron Kaiser * * posting with a Commodore 128 personal page: http://www.armory.com/%7Espectre/ ** Computer Workshops: games, productivity software and more for C64/128! ** ** http://www.armory.com/%7Espectre/cwi/ ** |
