I've just booked a trip for early March to The Gambia.
Anyone got any advice or tips? -- Tony Morgan http://www.camcord.info http://www.rhylonline.com |

Temps can be around 40 during the day, so nights with 30's seem cool. Don't forget your malaria tablets and other vaccinations (Hepatitus) you might need. Gambia is a very peaceful small country. You will find information on my
web www.fatoumaria.com . It is in Spanish language, but you can see pictures and a web tranlator -that you may use for each page. I recommend you these visits: ** Banjul - Albert Market, National Museum, Denton Bridge... ** Bakau - Cape Point beach, Sacred Crocodile Pool of Katchikaly -where you can touch old Charly croc-, Craft Market and close bars, Gena Bes Batik factory for shoping tie and dye... ** Serekunda - hustle and bustle real african twon ** Bijilo and Abuko Nature Reserves ** Up-country by river ** Lamin Lodge - where you can have a delicious african lunch in an impressive scenery. Don't miss it! ** Fajara and Senegambia (Kololy, Kombo, Kotu...) - for the beachs, restaurants, dancing... Sorry for my bad English, greetings and enjoy your trip (Be careful with malaria. I've got it last November and had a tough time of it) Tony Morgan escribió en el mensaje de noticias ... I've just booked a trip for early March to The Gambia. The highlight (for me at least) was slipping down the steep bank into the Katchikaly pool, the guide didn't seem too keen to help me out when he realised I was only feet from a big old croc! I still have the pictures I took of some serious closeups of that old croc's teeth, I figured that if he hadn't eaten me by then he wasn't too hungry. -- .--~~,__ :-....,-------`~~'._.' `-,,, ,_ ;'~U' _,-' ,'`-__; '--.
