Default looking for 2week volunteering.

I am changing my travel ways this time round, instead of just backpacking
around the countries taking it all in, I would like to volunteer for
something --time approx. 2weeks in Feb.
If anyone knows of any reputable organizations please let me know. I'm
fluent in English and can get by in French.

Any place specific?
If you have a church, this may be the easiest. Most have missionary
treks to all sorts of places. The US state department has volunteer
opportunities worldwide through the US Agency for International Development.
You might want to check around to see if Canada has something similar.
Check in with your local hospital. Sometimes they know of medical
missions that are going places. Often they take along non-docs and non-nurses
for general labor and help.

That is noble of you. Any church should be able to help you out. Always
need help digging wells and building school buildings.

Try this website: http://globalvolunteers.org/

You can also google 'volunteering' or some such. There are a number
of non-sectarian organizations that arrange this type of opportunity.
Good luck!

Cheers,
Ann

thanks for the advice on that, however to work with a church don't you have
to be a member of it? I'm not affiliated with any church except for the
fact that I was baptised RC.

What skills do you have. I might have something working with the
Kalinago Indians.
