Default Internet cafes in New Zealand

Are internet cafes or other internet resources readily available in New
Zealand? I will be traveling in the country for five weeks and need to
stay in touch with my family in the U.S. frequently.

Nah, not really, most New Zealanders use carrier pidgeons, kiwi birds and
smoke signals to get their messages out. Just joking, in almost every town
or city you'll find numerous internet cafes or an internet access point.
You'll not have a problem. Enjoy your vacation.

damn straight.. on a rtw trip I found it almost impossible to find an
net cafe in the states compared to every other country I had previously
visited.

I guess it's the same situation as singapore where there isn't such a
need because most people would have access from their own homes.

Internet access in the US is typically free at any public library. Time
may be limited to 20 minutes.

As it is in Australia. Only many sites are very restricted. Even to the
extent of normal pictures blocked.
