LAX LHR RT tickets discount hopeless during summer?
Danglerb wrote:
Looking for Los Angeles to London RT near the end of July, and I have found zero other than standard fares, which I am wondering even at $1k each US if I should be grabbing them up. We plan to spend a couple weeks around London, and all our dates are flexible for now starting the last week of July. Are any departure days of the week better than others or just keep punching in different ones until I get the best? Tuesday and wednesday departures are usually the cheapest. You might have to return on a tuesday or wednesday also to get the best fare. In addition, the best fares often require a return within 30 days. But don't use the online sites for a US-Europe flight - you'll get a better fare from an offline discount travel agent. Given the high fuel prices, tickets will be more expensive than usual this year in any case. I think you should be able to find one in the US $800 range, but I'm not positive. |
