Default Bid again on Priceline

Last weekend I bidded for some hotel rooms on priceline. The bids were
rejected. I am now asked to change something in my bid (location, quality or
price) and re-bid. I bid a higher price but this is rejected saying I have
to change something in my bid - BUT I did change something (the bid amount)!
Do I have to start a completely new bid to progress this?

Read the FAQ's. http://p070.ezboard.com/bpricelineandexpediabidding

I've already read this FAQ and maybe I'm being a bit thick here but exactly
which point is of relevance here? At points 9 and 10 it talks about free
re-bids but I can't use any of these (I can not add a zone which just
contains hotels of a lower quality). I thought I'd be able to revise my bid
upwards after 72 hours but its now more than a week since the original bid
was rejected and I can not revise my bid. What's to stop me starting a new
bid with a higher amount?

You can always start a completely new bid after the 72-hour lockout period.
You CANNOT keep bidding on an existing bid if you only change the dollar
amount. You have to either change the date(s), or add another zone or
another star rating.

Thankyou for clarifying this point for me.
