Europe to Egypt without flying
"Joel" wrote in message ... Hello, I am looking to go from anywhere in Europe to Egypt without flying. What are my options? There appear to be ferries from Italy and Greece. Finding the times for them could be a challenge. I managed to find this link which has no times http://www.ask-aladdin.com/ferries.html and this one which no longer runs (but which will give you an idea how long it takes) http://www.ferries.gr/salamis/ tim |

Even if it has, any road trip through the Sahara should not be taken lightly, and there are security issues in much of Algeria. Without a car, you can take buses or trains to Istanbul, buses through Syria and Jordan, and then a ferry from Aqaba in Jordan to Egypt. If he wants to drive, he may need certain documents to get the car in and out of different countries: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carnet_de_Passage |
