Hope he is wrong about another snow storm brewing,my husband said if the
roads are too bad when it is time for us to go to cape liberty we will
just cancel our cruise and lose our money, not worth risking losing our
lives over. He said the money is gone wether we go or not.

That's why you head for the port at least one day in day in advance, Or
better yet you don't sail from NYC in the middle of the winter. You waste
the first few days and last few anyway do to poor weather. Need to sail from
FLA or further south.

Even trying to go a day ahead of time, flying to fla.would not work, since
all flightswere cancelled, and we do not think it necessary to go to cape
liberty a day ahead of time since we live only an hours drive from our
town.

want it to be snowy when we leave for cape liberty 3/7/10
Not too worried about snow on the road, they do a good job here in
jersey, but worry about the parking lot we have to use by the
terminal, don't know if they clear it or not. We
have had a HUGE snowstorm over st.patricks day, with drifting up to 8 ft.

Just got a phone call from some friends who are on teh Explorer of the
Seas. They managed to get to NJ mid-day yesterday and some got the last
flight in from Chicago yesterday afternoon. The ship was a bit late
getting to the pier this morning and shuttle service from their hotel to
the ship was bad... mostly because of the weather. They got on the ship
at 4 PM and the ship left port as scheduled at 5 PM.

They say it is too early to say, but it seems to them that the ship
isn't full. This morning I was talking with RCL and they tole me that
they were having a lot of problems trying to help people get to the ship.

It isn't often you get to sail on a cruise when the decks are covered in
snow. I can't wait to see the pictures.

Oh yeah? What about that Inside Passage cruise you booked us on
for only $30 pp per night? You didn't tell me it was in January
and when I went out on the balcony to have a drink, I almost
killed myself on the snow and ice. At least my drink stayed nice
and cold.grin

Luxury cars now offer a great seating option for politicians.
These seats blow heated air onto their backside in the winter and
cooled air in the summer. If sold to voters, though, the car
seats
are modified to just blow smoke up the voter's rump year-round

Well, at least they have a few days to get them to meet the ship at the
first port.
