What do you like to eat? It's a foodie town, so even the street food is pretty good. Unique? Well, there's always Voodoo Doughnuts... yes, they have a web page. http://voodoodoughnut.com/ http://tinyurl.com/mg3sem Otherwise, take a look here for some ideas: http://www.oregonlive.com/dining/ http://wweek.com/food/#35.36 If you're over by 82nd & Powell, or near Powell's in Beaverton, you might consider Best Baguette, a Vietnamese/French sandwich shop that bakes their own baguettes, makes their own gelato and pastries... yum. And inexpensive. The Beaverton location just opened, but the 82nd & Powell (near a Carl's JR) has a faithful following. Atmosphere, none. Food, very good. http://www.bestbaguettesandwiches.com/ Downtown, you might consider Huber's for a little history... in business since 1879 http://www.hubers.com/ |

It's far away from downtown, but probably the best Chinese restaurant in town is Wong's King Seafood. WONG'S KING SEAFOOD RESTAURANT 8733 S.E. Division St. Suite 101 Portland, Oregon 97266 503-788-8883 http://www.wongsking.com My wife and I were on our way home and wanted some dim sum on a Sunday before leaving Portland. The wait for a table was maybe 45-60 minutes, so we just ordered takeout. It was fresh, hot, reasonably priced, and about as good as any place you'd find in the San Francisco Bay Area. We just ate in our car. |
