I'm looking into getting travel insurance for our upcoming trip, in the
event that one of us gets sick or hurt and has to come home, because
we'll be doing independent sightseeing in Florida before and after our
cruise. This is just a "peace of mind" move, not that we're planning to
have anything bad happen to us.

We've not gotten insurance before, but I've come to believe that it's
probably a good idea. Do any of you have opinions or experiences (good
or bad), or recommendations for (or against) a particular insurer? Feel
free to email directly if you don't want to post.

Thanks!

Karen

I, and others here, have used insurance for a variety of reasons. No
problems encountered. I've used the Travelex and TravelGuard policiesm for
most trips. But you might find another policy better suited for you.

I agree. Policies differ; what is good for one person might not for
another and what is good for one trip might not be good for another.
It's best to compare policies and find the one that is right for you
and your trip.
