Anyone have any recommendations for a moderately priced hotel in
Budapest? Or if not a hotel, at least a recommendation for the best
part of town to be in?

Thanks. I took a look at that site, but they have no availability for
the dates I need.

I stayed in the Kulturinnov, at the top of the hill in Buda, and
liked it very much (the rooms are Communist-era basic, but the
building is amazing, the location is spectacular and the staff
wonderfully helpful). But it couldn't be more inconvenient for
the tram and metro, it's a 15-minute slog up a steep hill to get
there.

Thanks. It sounded great until I got to the last sentence.

It's hard to answer you question. One person's "moderately priced" is
another person's "cheap dump" and is yet another person's "too
expensive". Be specific with a price range.

"Best part of town" is too subjective without knowing more about what
you're looking for. One person's "best" is another person's "too far
from transit" and is another person's "too noisy" and is another
person's "too boring" and is yet another person's "too crowded". Be
specific about what you want.
