Delta Skymiles
I went to the Delta website and found the return flight I wanted. It was
like $582, but I didn't book it because I wanted to sign up for Skymiles as this is my first flight with Delta. So I get a Skymiles account, log into it and then go to book my flight and the cost is now $640! Huh? So I log out of Skymiles and the flight goes back to $582! Am I to understand you pay more for a flight at Delta if you get points for the flight? Is this right? Do they all do this? |

You can still get your miles if you book on those sites. In fact, you can get your miles up until the time that you actually board the plane. So you could have bought the lower fare and joined skymiles at the airport and had them add your ff number at that time. My opinion, you can still buy the cheaper fare and then add your ff# to your itinerary. |

That way, we would have more than anecdotal "evidence". |

A given fare disappears, then re-appears. I doubt it has anything to do with being the FF member. If you can buy the ticket for the lower fare, go for it, and register for the SkyMiles later. jrk |
