Default Question : Inside Passage

As for so-called "Anytime" dining, originally I
preferred assigned seating, a creature of habit
I guess. However, Deborah (my wife) always
liked Anytime, and now I'm starting to come
around myself. You can always go to the
same dining room and at a particular time if
you want, but with Anytime, you also have far
more options as well. So now, "Anytime"
dining is our first choice.

I thought I'd love freestyle, but on our one NCL cruise I did not like
the way it worked. They seated you either with people already eating or
seated people with you after you started your meal. I much preferred the
anytime option on Princess and HAL.

And we noticed on our HAL Noordam cruise that the buffet had most of the
main meal choices served in the dining room including the vegetarian
choice and (at least one of) a fish choice. If we decide (with airlines
charging for bags) to not pack formal clothes, we can still get the
dining room choices in the buffet.

On the Noordam, we ate twice in the buffet (including one of the 3
formal nights), twice with a table for two, and the other 6 times with
other passengers. (Pat says she gets tired of hearing my same past
cruise stories which she claims I keep embellishing. LOL)
