How crowded does it get here in april? Camping and/or motels.
Should I book?

there are a few. 10 years ago, i went in May/June. No problem getting
a place in the park (or around there) in the evening. However, if you
are sure of your dates, better to book.

Camping and/or motels. Should I book?

It's a free and easy road trip around arizona so I'm not sure which days


I think I'd just jot down the phone numbers of the Thunderbird Lodge and
Junction Inn and buy a phone card when I get to the US and call ahead a day or
so before I got to CdC to check on room status.
