I'm thinking of heading down to Cumberland and/or Salem Counties in New
Jersey later this month. They are in the southernmost portion of NJ,
adjacent to the Delaware Bay.
What would be your recommendations for sightseeing, restaraunts,
must-see places?
Any info. that you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
Cordially,
James Reston

Fort Mott State Park in Salem County; nearby you can walk across the
land border between New Jersey and Delaware!

My main interest in traveling there is that it's a place that I've never
been to before and I'm intrigued about what I've heard of it. I don't
have any interest in the industrial areas, rather the wide open spaces,
nature preserves, and quaint towns near the Delaware Bay that were
described in the article that I read.
Cape May's great but I've been there before and its definitely a summer
destination.

Fill up your gas tank there as that part of NJ has the lowest gas prices in
the state.
