If it's humid, I'm glad I'll only be there for a day! Yes, it will be hot and humid, but the museums and galleries are air conditioned. Toronto has an excellent transit system, and taxis are plentiful and cheap, so you can get quickly from point to point without having to hike it! |

Toronto in July
"Anne Chambers" wrote in message ... I'm spending 2 nights (effectively one full day) in Toronto (Holiday Inn on King) in late July en-route to a family reunion in Saskatchewan, arriving & departing by train. I'm 60+, travelling alone and not very active - can anyone recommend places to visit during the day ? -- Anne South Australia Montreal. |

I'm spending 2 nights (effectively one full day) in Toronto (Holiday Inn
on King) in late July ... can anyone recommend places to visit during the day ? Montreal. In case the original poster might take this seriously -- read it as a suggestion to spend a day in Montreal *instead of* Toronto. (Or in other words, an insult.) The two cities are too far apart for a day trip to be feasible. -- Mark Brader, Toronto | "I conducted a Usenet poll ... on this subject ... | Laura is single. By a 2-1 margin." --Ken Perlow |
