Help with Symptoms of Cruise Withdrawal
OK folks, I think I really need your help at this point.
As some of you know, six weeks ago, I returned to work from a two-year sabbatical, where Eileen and I spent about a third of our time on cruise ships. During those two years, our maximum layover between cruises was never more than about one month. My next cruise is booked for New Years Eve, and it is my intention to cruise continuously throughout the month of January. However, New Years is still 2 1/2 months away and I am already experiencing withdrawal, having returned from our last cruise in mid August. The empirical evidence of my withdrawal consists mostly of my constant posting on this newsgroup. My question is: How do those of you who only cruise once, twice, or thrice per year deal with the downtime? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Howard - whose tan lines have now vanished. |

Help with Symptoms of Cruise Withdrawal
Howard, some of us live in Florida or similar climates that have wonderful
beaches and tropical surroundings. But we too, look forward to the cruises. Sandy "Howard Garland" wrote in message ... OK folks, I think I really need your help at this point. Help with Symptoms of Cruise Withdrawal
Howard
Living in Florida gives us some outlet for the cruise blues. We have a favourite bistro right on the intra coastal where we go quite often. With a tall brolly drink and great lobsters - whole ones, not tails - we sit on the patio and watch the sea world. Closest thing we can manage to a cuise SUNNY.........has learned over the years to have patience S'nd I |

Help with Symptoms of Cruise Withdrawal
Howard,
My sincere condolences on your all-too-common malady... Here's what I used to tell our passengers on the last night of the cruise: I know you're going to miss the ship when you get home. Here's how you can "extend" your cruise experience: 1. Put your bed into your closet, and sleep there. 2. Divide your family into two seatings for dinner ("Kids, you eat at 7, we'll eat at 8, we'll catch a movie between seatings" 3. Nail a 2X4 to the doorway in front of your bathroom door. About the third time you smash your toe on it, you'll at least be a little glad you aren't onboard. Hope that helps, Rusty Wilson "Howard Garland" wrote in message ... Help with Symptoms of Cruise Withdrawal
Hi Howard, we cruise between once and 5 times per year, but when we
aren't cruising we can travel by plane car or train and rarely have withdrawl symptoms. There is also house work yardwork and charity work in our area that always need doing. And since we live in Florida we visit the theme parks regularly. ~~DORIS~~ Who is leaving for Eastern Europe next week.
