Has anyone made a successful booking using cruise compete?

I believe it was in this newsgroup that I discovered cruise compete. You
could have cruise agents bid for the cruise that you wished to take.

Well, I tried it. I almost immediately got two bids and a total of six
bids over the course of a few days. I called the two lowest bidders. On
both of them, I got voice mails. I identified myself with the cruise
compete number for my request, and said I was ready to book today.
NEITHER CALLED ME BACK!

I also called the last two on line cruise websites we have used and one
on line agent who posts in this group. All answered immediately and were
able to give me quotes and good information. We will be using buy
cruises.com. We used them on our last cruise, and their price, was good,
though not the lowest quote we received, and we found their service to
be excellent.

Well you can't lose any money if they will not bother take it
