Whats opinions on going to both Pompeii and Herculaneum as an all day outing

I'm interested too. We have ONE day. We are willing to be there as early as
we can do something.

Do we do Pompeii or Herculeum or both?

Pompeii is so big you won't have time to really see it all.

Herculaneum is smaller and see-able in a day.

Both are great. I'd say it's more of what you're physically fit to do
- seeing all of Pompeii is exhausting, but there is 'more of it'.

Both sites have audioguides, these are good, if too lengthy at times.

A mini-guidebook sold on site would be good, too.

Here are some photos that might help
