Default Food for the Lions at Hoedspruit (SA)...

Phalaborwa - There were gasps in the public gallery as Mark Scott-Crossley,
one of the men who threw farmworker Nelson Chisale to lions at Hoedspruit in
January 2004, was sentenced on Friday to life imprisonment...

Ja Corne, is Crossley one of your tjommies ? ;-

OK, jokes aside. I guess the man (Crossley) got what he
deserved. I just wonder how many 'tribal' executions of
a similar nature go undocumented, unnoticed and unprosecuted.
This one makes headline news because of the involvement
of a supposedly civilised 'whitey' and the tasty morsel that
something like: "fed to the lions" provides the tabloids.
Suchlike brutal crimes are really not as uncommon as one
would assume.

Long story, started in 2004. Yes I do know more since Hoedspruit is a small
town and news travels fast. He has been senteced to jail for life.
The White Lion project has been moved to the Free State, and the farm is on
the market now.

Fore more information you can look on the link you placed, where you can
read all the related news.

Bushregards,
Corné.

Hans,

sorry for that, but it was so strange. I got an e-mail from somebody, who
signed with your name?

The e-mail came from Suzanne Melis, but it was signed on behalf on your
name? I don't understand, so I send you a private mail regarding this.

So when you receive a 'strange' email then put it up there so everybody can
see it? I receive at least half a dozen 'strange' emails a day but I don't
put them on the Net...

No, I first send an e-mail to them. (See above).

When I don't get any reaction, I have to try another way. And since you are
active on this NG, and because the e-mail was signed on behalf of you name,
but send by somebody else, I tried this.

Me neither, but an e-mail from 'Hans www.come-along.nl ' but written by
From: "Suzanne Melis" is worth finding out what
is going one.

So again the question, Hans do you know more?

If people are on their way to my lodge, and they want me to take good care
of a Landrover named Landy, why don't I know what is going on?

Please, do e-mail.

Regards,
Corné.

It is bad Netiquette to publish the real email addresses of people on
USENET because many of us munge our addresses to avoid spam. By
publishing the private address of Suzanne Melis you have just
(i) condemned her to a lifetime of spam (ii) force her to change her
private email address.

That's why we don't publish private emails on USENET. It's just polite.

It is ALSO polite to make email messages clear as to
what they are about and from whom they are - when
emailing to a private address. Since this was not the
case, AND since he was requested to reply to the group,
the sender(s) got every bit they deserved.
Sheesh !!!
