Taking eletrical itmes with you - do customs change you ?
What are the chances that custums get you either in the UK or Oz or both
countries even if you take say a camcorder and digital camera etc plus other stuff. Do you need a recepit for everything ? Even for something brought many years ago ? |

As long as you don't bring the packaging you'll be fine. Scuffing it up a
bit helps. Dwayne "news.speedmail.co.uk" wrote in message ... Mate! You need to get out and about more!! Customs are only after the
professionals, and even then it's mainly drugs which attract their attention. Camcorders and the rest of the stuff you're fretting over are welcome without any penalty in countries from Australia to Turkey, and just about everywhere in between!!!! They know you can't sell them at a profit - because they're already 'as cheap as almost everywhere!!! Your thinking is many years out of date!!!! "news.speedmail.co.uk" wrote in message ... Hi,
What are the chances that custums get you either in the UK or Oz or both countries even if you take say a camcorder and digital camera etc plus Nil. If you bring just one of them, customs will (rightly) assume they're for private use. If you bring 5 laptop computers, they might start asking you questions. If you bring 5 camers, I think they wouldn't - you could be a photographer, after all. Cheers, Ralph |
