Shoe Nazis
We just returned from a lovely RTW: 13 flights, 11 countries and nine
airlines. Number of times we were asked (or told) to remove our shoes: zero. We simply didn't fly in the USA. It was also interesting to note the cutlery provided with the meals. On the flights to, in and from Canada, the knife (at least) was plastic. But just about everywhere else, all pieces were metal. Some airlines still care about the presentation as well as the quality of the food they serve, and Singapore Air for one was embarrassed enough to include a little printed card which read: On flights to certain destinations, we are obliged to use plastic cutlery onboard, in accordance with directives from the local authorities. cheers, Henry |
