New Orleans Question
We live in Southern California and will be traveling to New Orleans for the
first time in December. We are going on a pre-Christmas 6-night cruise with our daughter and her family, who live in Florida. We plan to spend 2 pre-cruise nights in the Marriott New Orleans hotel in the French Quarter. We are sailing on the Grandeur of the Seas and the cruise ends on the day before Christmas. So we decided to spend that night at the same hotel and fly home to California on Christmas day. Hopefully, the airports and planes will not be very busy. Our flight out on Christmas morning is at 8:14AM, so I am concerned. Will we be able to get transportation to the airport that early on Christmas morning? Should we, instead, spend Christmas eve at a hotel close to the airport? These hotels are not very large, so could we have a problem finding a place to eat on Christmas eve? Does anyone have an opinion? Many thanks, Don |

New Orleans Question
Not a problem. There are taxis and shuttle services that will pick you up at the
Hotel and get you to the Airport in 15 to 20 minutes. They run all day every day. Right behind the Marriott is Brennans Steakhouse. Close to that is the Acme Oyster House. Plenty of places will be open on Christmas Eve for Dinner. Do not go out to a dumpy Airport Hotel. Not worth it. Stay downtown. Cal Ford Lido Deck Cruises In article , Don & Lynn says...
