Default using BA silver card to access AA admiral lounges

Can anyone tell me whether they have had success in using BA's
executive club silver card to access the AA admiral lounges during
their domestic travel in the US while supplying their AA frequent
flyer for the actual flight to accrue miles for the flight and to get
upgraded?

I am an elite flyer on both AA and BA but I don't have an admirals
club membership and would like to know if this would work.

Thanks for any insights/experiences.

Relax in our lounges around the world
As a Silver or Gold member, you and one guest* can enjoy access to the
comfort and facilities of over 250 lounges worldwide** whenever you fly on a
British Airways or a oneworld partner airline scheduled flight# - whatever
cabin you are flying in. These lounges are operated by, or on behalf of
British Airways and the oneworld (TM) partner airlines.

#Lounge Access is only available to passengers travelling on scheduled
flights that are both operated and marketed by a oneworld member airline.
*Subject to capacity.
**Lounge access is not available on BA codeshare flights operated by Alaska
Airlines, America West, JAL, Emirates and SN Brussels Airlines.

Kind Regards, Howard
