yeah, k i
there is a ny of a difference:
driving down the whole of bronx in a cadilac and
walking down a block of the same.
'the whole of the Bronx' and 'a block of the same' suggests a criminal
homogeneity of the Bronx that ignores the fact that not only is most
of the
Bronx NOT so blighted, but a significant portion of the South(mainly)
Bronx
blight has in the past few decades been cleaned up.
One can only wonder when last (if ever) pluto drove through the Bronx,
and if he ever did, whether he drove in circles in one bad part of the
Bronx, thinking he'd seen it all ;~)
-maxwell

I lived in the Bronx for several years, in an extremely safe area.
It was safe to stagger around drunk at any hour without any worry
whatsoever, not that one is claiming so to have done.

. . nor did the plutonian savant ever spin his wheels in your old
neighborhood ;~)

I was thinking of some areas of Harlem, blocks on Pennsylvania
Avenue in
Brooklyn, parts of Bushwick, or even places in Crown Heights. Or the
parking
lot off Flatbush Avenue near Juniors where the cousin of my then
girlfriend
was murdered.

You might then know of the Franklin Avenue shuttle in 'do-or-die'
(Bedford-Stuyvesant) a short ride through hellish territory,
terminating two
blocks from where artists I once knew had huge loft spaces they'd
co-opped
(cheap deal, hell yes) in a factory building.

Not specifically, but I drove a cab in NYC once upon a time, and there
were places I went through that I would not dare to exit the car, nor
would I think of unlocking the doors and picking up passengers.

Ah yes, I knew of Dover.

Sometimes now, on the job, I fantasize about being able to just drive
away... it was a hard job, but it had its benefits too.

.............. What stats do you have to
show that the takeover has increased physical risk for foreigners?
You obviously like to repeat yourself .....see my earlier reply
quoted below:
"Do you need stats....to tell you a place is
dangerous. (intending to lie with stats)

.......so are MORE FARANGS DYING NOW .....

You say ..."more farangs are dying now..." ..NOT me. You show proof
of what you said.

You are slimy like maggots...changing my words and then ask me to show
proof of what you said. You are worse than maggots in dog
**** ...despiscable.

I repeat what I said again. "Bombs exploded in Bangkok, tourists
killed in tourist resorts. Now Bangkok is more dangerous than other
cities in Asia."

Cannot understand what I said ? Go back to dog school.

People are avoiding Thailand now ...going to other
places, like Vietnam, for their holidays.

There is no reason to risk our life ...going to an
unsafe like Thailand.

If you are bald eagle, then that is what YOU said.

Note the use of 'now' twice. The implication is that there is something
diffferent going on 'now' in Thailand as opposed to some other time. In
other words, that Thailand has changed in its dangerousness.

This concludes my attempt to have a rational dialogue with someone such
as yourself.

Lao is Communist and proud of its opium

refinery .

BKK has the airport to ship the opium out .

Thialand is not just tourist .

If it were only tourist , you'd see no problems

at all , except for formaldehyded Falangs !

The FoodLand at about LatPrao 120 , poisoned

my Australian Cheddar on Jan 20 , 2005 .

The European manager claimed it was

sent from Aust' with F' in it !!

Muslims do not hate Falangs , only the terrorist

American govt ....

1 million Asians die every year of F' poisoning.

Other than that , BKK is very safe . The Thai

people are not "hot" tempered , unless you insult

the king . But then all you need to do is "Y"

a few times ..... MI Jetana Mi Jetana ...

They do NOT like cameras . I took a photo

of a bike , on display , on the N side of

Luang ( the "bicycle" street , in YaoWarat)

He went ballasitic , called the police .

But i lived BKK , long time , so i don't worry

about cops .

Next i was testing out my Minolta Z-6 ( 2nd

z-6 . Taiwan police stole my first ! )

And a Thai youth at a RaN aHan LeK LeK ,

got real stiff ! he thought i was "stealing" his soul ,

so he frowned all the while , i snapped ...

-----------------------------------------
Be careful , at ShaingKiChek airport ,

the cops will steal your stuff as it goes

thru the inspection machine .
-----------------------------------------

Tried to retire on 1 year Non-Imigrant .
I threw in the towel , cause the gov't
was too unwilling . I went to Lao 3 times
and was turned down for Retirement VISA .
I had a 600 Baht transfer , and they said
that , because i had any activity , at all ,
i probably didn't have the 800,000 in the bank .
This , with 2 bank accts , with over 800K !
I took both bank books with me !
Notice Tourist Visa almost tripled ...
So i gave up on Thailand .

Stay away from TFB . They tried to steal
my money . I tried to exchange some $100
bills . They refused to give me the posted rate ,
they took it to American Emb' and got them to
stamp it COUNTERFIET . So i took the counterfiet
to all the dollar experts in BKK , and then to
TFB main skyscraper ( way S , on JaoPraya )
and yelled at the CEO , and so i got credit .

They are crooks . BTW DoNMuaNG is the
only place to exchange .

I have about 300 JPG's of BKK . Nothing
exciting , nor professional . Free .

wweerrttyy ----swissinfo oorrgg

BTW , there is no law , nor police in BKK
and there is no violence . Just mangy dog
packs and poluted canals and air polution
and the worlds lowest taxi fares .
I stood on PetBULE , at 22:00 and saw
5000 taxis . The govt pays for petrol !
Even TuK TuK ( .. means "everywhere" ,
NOT "low cost" ) are subsidized !
My G.F. would taxi home for $1 !

everywhere? 555555 . FYI Tuk Tuk's are called that because of the
noise their engines make, why don't you just quietly **** off back to
where you come from.
