Default Dash-8 is not dead !

Qantas ordered 6 brand spanking new Dash-8s (q-300 at 50 pax). To be delivered
first half of 2004.

What I found interesting is that the Qantas press released used the term
"Dash-8". Seems that Bombardier really failed to rename the planes and the
name "Dash-8" is going to stick around. (which is a good thing).

(Delta is also rumoured to plan an order for 45 flying skidoos (CRJ (200)).

The Star Alliance order is likely to be split evenly between Bombardier and
Embraer. I suspect Embraer will get orders for 100 seat jets while Bombardier
may get an order for its 200/700 skidoos. The order will be pooled as a single
order by Star Alliance partners.
