Romantic City Break: Dublin or Edinburgh?
Thinking of short city break in August, fancy both of these destinations but
cannot decide. Anyone got any thoughts on the merits or not of them? Tricky |

Visually, Edinburgh has the unbeatable edge, but both fascinating cities with much to offer. However, during the festival (most of August) Edinburgh is very busy, and I would avoid it if possible. By contrast, we didn't find Dublin _too_ busy (though far from empty) when we took a short break there in August a few years ago... -- (*) of the royal duchy of city south and deansgate www.davidhorne.net (email address on website) "The fact is that when I compose I never think of and never have thought of meeting the listener." -George Perle (RIP 2009) |
