I just read that London Transport has free bus travel for the
over-sixties. Is this for everyone or just for residents?
UK Residents only (and it's only London residents who get free train
travel)

Yes, I just found the website. It seems a little unfair- you can get a
German Rail Bahncard at half price just on evidence of age.

What other perks can you scoop up in London by waving your passport?
Museums? Theatres? Saunas? Sexclubs?
Most places that offer what is now politically correctly called
"concessions" offer that price to anyone over 60 or 65 (plus lots of
other categories)

tim

Why not make it over 70s,at least you might take the sex clubs out of
the equation :-)

70+ get before 6pm BOGOF offers in sex clubs.

where, where?

UK Residents only

Is that legal nowadays, can they make a difference between UK residents and
other EEC residents?

As the fare is paid by the local council that the resident pays they taxes
to, I would hope so.

It's a bit like saying: is it fair that people in Calais don't get their
rubbish collected by Folkestone Town Council

It is local residents only i.e those who pay the local taxes.

Yes. It happens all over the EU at local levels.

Yes, over 60s get free entry to sex clubs and priority free use of NHS
approved prostitutes (but only two a day maximum).
