Default Slots on the Solstice

I am confused about how the slots are set up on the Solstice. Can you
ONLY use the SeaPass (or whatever they call it on Celebrity) or can you
also use actual money? If only the SP, can you put in a specific amount
(say $10.00) and then run that out or is each bet going to be a discreet
withdrawal?

Hi Kurt,

Just home this afternoon from the Solstice and it was a wonderful cruise!!

You can put bills in the slot machines, no problems. When you cash out
you get a slip of paper that you can put in another machine or cash at
the cashier. I really loved this method since you aren't handling tokens
that have been used and are usually dirty.

I was only in the casino one day, but made $170 on the 2 cent machine.

Sue,

Could you help me pick numbers for the Pick-6 New Jersey Lottery? I'd be
willing to share the winnings with you. :-)

Thanks. The rumor I had heard was that everything was off the SeaPass
card both in and out, which sounded like a REALL bad idea on so many
levels (g). The Slip o' Paper is pretty standard in the industry now.

You really don't want help from me, I never, never win anything and this
small winning was very tiny. One person in our group won really big on
the $5 slots and picked up the bar tab for all of us during the next
nights meet and greet.

We never gamble except on our cruises and I had never seen the slip of
paper before. Took me a while to figure it out, but I really like it a lot.

When are you leaving on the Solstice, next week I think?

I will try to write a few things about our cruise before you leave, but
life is kinda hectic here now and I don't know if I will have time or
not. If you have any questions, just post them and I will try to reply.

At first I found the buffet layout confusing, but after a day or so it
became very easy to deal with. There are lots and lots of great choices,
something for everyone.

I hope your cruise is as good as ours was!!

It's been my impression across all of the lines that cash has never
been refused in the casinos.

Kurt,
Where the SeaPass card comes into play is that they have a slot on the
machine where you insert your SeaPass card and it keeps tabs on the amount
that you spend...For instance, 400 points will give you $5.cash back or
t-shirt, etc. when you cash out at the end of the cruise or whenever you
wish to stop playing.. 600 points gives you $10. or bar drinks, etc. There
is a list at the cashier's desk that informs what you can get for "x" amount
of points. Just don't forget to sign the back of your card or leave your
card in the machine when you stop or move to another one. The machines
accept only paper currency...
When you cash out, you get a paper ticket that tells the amount of money you
have left which you can use later or cash in at the cashier's desk...They
use those paper tickets in Vegas and I also remember having used them on
another ship but cannot recall the name right now. For me, the Solstice was
quite tight...I did end up with some money and a black t-shirt with a white
slot machine that said "Winner"...LOL! At least it didn't say "Loser!" On
the Regatta, I won $2,445.on a slot machine so I guess it was 'pay-back'
time this time around! I wish you better luck than I had. Have a great
cruise...the ship is absolutely beautiful.
