Noordam
I would be interested in hearing feedback about this old girl. I am rather
fond of older ships. Is Noordam a good lady? Don Calgary |

Noordam
Just completed a 10 day Mediterranean trip, our first on the Noordam. Being
an older ship it is somewhat different from current ships. Almost all public rooms are on deck six (Casino on 7 and Dining on 5). The main show lounge is in center of ship and has minimal stage and dressing rooms for performers. If you go to Holland America's website you'll find they have deckplans pre-December 2003 and post-December. There is apparently a shipyard period and I haven't analyzed the changes. The Lido is at the aft end of deck 6. The food in both restaurants we thought was excellent. The Noordam, like other Holland America ships, has excellent access to outside decks without the obstruction of glass panels. |

Noordam
She is one of my favorite ships. Medium size and well laid out. Very comfortable
to get around and enjoy all she has to offer. Some people diss her because she has no balcony cabins but that is not important to people like me who really like the community feeling of the older smaller ships. We would sail on her again in a heartbeat. Cal Ford http://www.lidodeckcruises.com 800-511-4417 In article VX_rb.364406$pl3.163198@pd7tw3no, Don Madge says...
