I don't see these on the FAA's SUA list. Are they MOAs, Alert areas,
Warning
areas, Restricted, or what?

Found them, or some of them. But they aren't active and they are way out over

The problem is obviously enough for the president of the United States to
release that airspace to commercial flights at peak holidays.

The President did that as a public relations stunt. It didn't have any effect
on traffic.

had the availability of New York air space during Thanksgiving, those
north-south routes along the East Coast did see some improvement."

I'd have to see the documentation of that. The areas you mention aren't
really in the way of much of anything.
