Default Club Med Turkoise - Trip Report

"Adam" wrote

The thing that irritated me was that after arriving at the village,
the reception desk would not make a local call for me to American Airlines
to help me resolve the issue. They said it was my problem and I needed to
call from my room.

Dear Adam,

those are the results of the "restructuration program" begun some years ago
by former Club Med CEO Philippe
Bourguignon & his friends.
Before, in all villages with a reasonable number of air arrivals/departures
(expecially Turquoise!)
there was a "traffic office" with one, two, sometimes three GO trafic.
These GOs were formed in transportation, and they were actually the most
competent people in the village to solve problems like yours.

Now the traffic office disappeared, it has been absorbed by a fake
"polyvalent reception".
It can happen that only one GO in a whole reception staff had a traffic
formation. And of course, he cannot be in service 24 by 7.

The "polyvalence", a word so precious for Bourguignon, made the Club Med to
save money, considerably reducing number of GOs in activity.
But on the other hand, the service made to the GMs has fallen down to levels
not even immaginable 10 yrs ago .

Your last bad experience, an assistance chef de village that does not allow
you to use an (empty!) GM bus, not even paying the transfert fee, is the
proof that nobody knows a fu*k of transportation in certain Club Med.

But this is the direction the Club decided to go. It'll not go far. Now
there is "Giscard d'Estain" as CEO (...), Trigano's time is over and the
Club Med will not be the same anymore.

regards,
an-GO trafic
