Default New Input Request On 'Casual' ....

cruises.

Meaning no jackets, necessary even. All inclusive, Mediterranean itineraries, May - Jun & Sept 2013 possible travel dates.

When I say all inclusive, meaning alcohol included and possibly excursions. Again, there will be eight of us travelling. Most have ruled out Crystal as too formal and possibly Regent, while not as formal, still formal.

Any suggestions? A TA contacted appears not to know what he is doing. I provided the possible travel periods and they provided the full summer. This total lack of hearing and understanding of the essential requirements is not acceptable.

I was wondering what was taking so long for basic info, and that was the reason.

TIA ... bo1953

You have pretty much eliminated anything but a private charter. The
only lines that provide alcohol and excursions are the real upper crust
or formal ones. On top of that, AI cruises cost a LOT more than non AI.
Why not just look for your preferred itinerary on one of the more
casual lines and then just pay as you go on the alcohol and excursions?

Why don't you just find another travel agent, if you can find one
willing to deal with you? And you should be asking your never ending
questions on Cruise Critic, where there are many more people who will
read your posts and some might actually have an answer for you.

If by "Regent" you mean Regents Seven Seas I think that you will find
that on cruises of two weeks or less they have abandoned formal
entirely. Sport coats and open collar shirts are appropriate for all
meals.

We took a Regents two week cruise - Australia to New Zealand - and it
had three formal nights which we really enjoyed. Even there, however, a
suit and tie were appropriate, tux were not required.

They were truly all inclusive. The only places your were likely to
spend money are the casino and boutiques. And there service is special.
When we checked into our room there were 2 liter bottles of Jack Daniels
bourbon and Tanquerey gin waiting for us plus a complimentary bottle of
champaign. I asked our cabin attendent if we could swap the gin and
bourbon for vodka and Wild Turkey. No fuss, no muss, thirty minutes
later it was a done deal.

While tipping is not required I did tip our cabin attendent and favorite
bar waiter the night before we disembarked in Auckland, they had earned
it.

Oh, almost all of the excursions were free. There were a couple we paid
a fee for but they were really special and well woth what we paid.
