Iberostar or Barcello in Mayan Riviera?
We're taking two kids to the beach south of Cancun in Thanksgiving. We've
narrowed our search to one of the four Iberostars or the Barcelo Maya. What are your recommendations? Is it worth being close to Playa Del Carmen, which two Iberostar resorts are? Does the better beach at Barcello make it's remote location worthwhile? Priorties would be children's programs, pools, food and comfort. Thanks LT |

Thanks LT There is only an advantage to being closer to Playa Del Carmen if you are going to go there often; for trips to Cozumel, dinners, etc. If you are just going to stay in the resort, which is much of the reason to go to an all-inclusive, pick the resort that has facilities and activities you are interested. Personally, I don't go to any resort with children's programs! So I don't know much about the specifics of these resorts. Steven Goodman |

Iberostar or Barcello in Mayan Riviera?
We have taken our kids to the Bahia Principe Akumel...it was fabulous! Our
kids were not into the kids programs but there were lots of them if you want to keep them busy. The pool is great for kids, as is the beach as there is a lagoon for snorkeling and the water is calm. Playa Del Carmen is not that great for kids so don't base a decision on that. Mostly little shops and restaurants, not what most kids would call fun! The Bahia is 5 minutes from Xel-Ha, a great snorkelling park that is geared for families, I would recommend it! Have fun, wish I was going again. Karen "LT" wrote in message ... Karen,
How did you get to the park? The Bahia Principe Akumel is at Maya Riviera? We will go to Palladium Grand at Maya Riviera. Do you know anything about this resort? Palladium Grand and Gala were the only 2 resorts on the Mayan Riviera recommended by our travel agent that meet all 3 of these criteria: 1. Excellent Beach 2. Kid-friendly, kid's club, etc. 3. Allow 2 adults and 3 children in the same room. Caveat: I have no personal experience with these resorts. Joe |

Don't know this resort. We took a cab to the park from the resort, it was
soooo much cheaper then doing the tour. Cab ride was 5 minutes. "Joe Duffy" wrote in message ... In article , Hai Pham wrote: Karen, How did you get to the park?
