Where are the best storms/rain?
I may be strange, but one of my dream vacations involves travelling to
someplace during their peak time for storms/rain. Not just drizzle or dreary, but more like monsoon/non-stop rain and/or massive thunderstorms. Where are some of the best locations on Earth and times to travel to hit what most other travellers try so hard to avoid? |

Where are the best storms/rain?
I like Hawaii, and I think on the island of Kauai (north side and
inland) has a lot of rain in Jan and Feb. Although Hawaii in general is popular at that time. |

Where are the best storms/rain?
Reunion island is a french oversea territory between Madagascar and
Mauritius (21° South 55° East) that detains many world records of rain: in 12 hours January 1966 1144 mm (Cyclone Denise) in 24 hours January 1966 1825 mm (Cyclone Denise) in 48 hours April 1958 2466 mm in 72 hours january 1980 3240 mm (Cyclone Hyacinthe) in 4 days january 1980 3551 mm (Cyclone Hyacinthe) in 10 days january 1980 5678 mm (Cyclone Hyacinthe) in 15 days january 1980 6083 mm (Cyclone Hyacinthe) Yes, more than 6 METERS of water!!!!! The cyclone (french word for hurricane) season begins on november the 15 and goes through march the 15. we are just in it! But, so far, all is quiet. I have anything against you coming on Reunion island but I hope there won't be any cyclone this year, 'cause I live here!
