Default Central or South America?

Hi all,

I've got 3 weeks off in March to go to either Central or South
America... anyone here recommend which would be better to do in that
short amount of time?

I've heard Central America is cool for relaxing and getting some cool
surf, but then I've also read about all the stuff you can do in Bolivia
(like mountain biking the world's most dangerous road) and Argentina,
etc. Me so confuzzled.

I also like ancient ruins and jungles, more than lying on a beach or
partying non-stop all the time (although it would be good if I could get
some of those in too)

Cheers.
