Be careful Australian domestic supply voltage = 240 volts AC @ 50Hz.
Refer http://www.icoms.org.au/icomsdest.htm to confirm.
Rgds Ian S ..........................

Nominal voltage is indeed 240 AC. Under Victorian legislation, power can
vary by +/- 6%, ie it may range between 226 volts and 254 volts. Most
household electrical equipment doesn't have a problem with this, but at

the
higher end of voltage range light bulbs have a noticeably reduced

lifespan.
In Western Australia the nominal voltage was 250 AC, but unless I am
mistaken this voltage has been reduced to the national standard of 240.
There used to be a different range of light-bulbs available in WA to cater
for the increased voltage.

I think from 2000 (AS60038-2000)
230 +10%/-6% i.e. 216-253 at user
50Hz (+- 0.5HZ , +- 2Hz short term (minutes) )

this to approach Europe which settled on 230 between 220 and 240.

The ranges overlapped so it wasn't all that difficult

If you can't find a solution , redefine the problem ;-)
