Tour Program Name: Odyssey Myanmar 22 Days Tour
Yangon- Putao- Myitkyina- Bahmo- Lashio- Hsibaw- Mandalay- Bagan- Pyay-
Mawlamyine- Kyaikhtio- Yangon

Day 1 Arrival (TG-303) from Bkk. Transfer to Hotel and visit to
Chaukhtutgyi Pagoda, the Colossal reclining Buddha Image, then walk around
the Royal Kandawgyi. Then continue to Shwedagon Pagoda by the sundown to
watch the activity from the Pagoda platform. Overnight at City Star Hotel
located in the center of downtown.

Day 2 From Yangon to Putao
Depart for airport for Putao (10:30), and transfer to Kaunghmulon village
where Shan (Khanti) tribal live, and visit in and around the village, then
continue to Kaunghmulon Pagoda and proceed to Nwazarkha village where Lisu
tribe live. Visit in and around in that village and overnight in that
village.

Day 3 Trekking to Mancho, and Karendam village to see the Rhawon tribal,
then continue to Namkham village to learn the Shan tribal. After that
proceed to Einwaibaw to learn Kachin and Lisu tribal and continue to
Machanbaw Town. Visit Stone dragon Pagoda, the natural Mica-stone that look
like a dragon, and overnight at Gubar Army guest camp in Machanbaw.

Day 4 Continue to Mulashidi suspension bridge by stopping the tribal
village to learn their daily Life. Mulashidin is also a village where Rahwon
tribal people live. Continue the trekking to reach PutaO. Dinner and
overnight at Kyauktalone Army guest camp.

Day 5 From Putao to Myitkyina
Visit PutaO market in the morning and fly for Myitkyina in the afternoon.
Transfer to Hotel. Visit Myitson where two small rivers Maykha and Malikha
meets to start Ayeyawaddy River, then stop at Dongan village to learn the
life of Jimphaw (Kachin) people. Then continue to Jawbwam tower to watch the
panorama, and dinner and overnight at Panson Hotel.

Day 6 From Myitkyina to Bhamaw
Drive on the new ridge across over the Ayeyawaddy River, and stop at
Waimaw town to see the cottage industry of Shan people. There is a small
market at Garlinyan village to learn the culture of the people around that
area. Some Kachin tribes are animist still intact with their old customs.
Lunch at Nansanyan village, and study the processing of gold extracting from
the steams and the river. Lwege, the gateway to China is a small village,
and learn the village life. Dinner and over night at Friendship hotel.

Day 7 Visit local market to watch the populace of the people, and view
the river life. Study the cottage industry of earthen pot making. As Bamaw
is the main area of cane furniture, and study the processing of cane
products such as baskets, seating chairs….at the Cottage Industries. Dinner
and overnight in Bamaw.

Day 8 Down Ayeyawaddy River by Ferry boat.
The boat wll pass by Kyaukkyi village where one can view the second
defilement of the river. Sometimes the people are busy in seeking gold in
the river and reach to Katha Town. Continue to Tagaung, the old capitol from
where Burmese people are likely to descend. Thebeikkyin is the third
defilement of Ayeryawaddy River. Near the town along the river we can also
study the live of gold-seekers. Dinner and overnight in Thebeikkyin, and
overnight on Boat.

Day 9 There are many villages along Ayeyawaddy River living out of
cottage industry on the main land, and gold-seeking, and gold panning in the
river. We will also pass by the third defilement of the river to Mingon.
View the world biggest ringing bell, and the huge brick pile of the world.
Also watch the old man and old women at Mingon Home for the aged. The boat
reachs Mandalay about half pass two, and transfer to hotel and evening climb
up the Mandalay Hill and watch the environ and sunset. Dinner and overnight
in Mandalay.

Day10 From Mandalay to Lashio.
Early morning departure by train to Hsipaw by surveying the landscape of
Shan plateau, and view the life of the people along the rail road. Pass over
the famous Gonehteik viaduct. The train stops at every town and we have
chance to learn the activity of daily life. Transfer to Lashio Motel for
overnight.

Day11 Trekking Palaung villages (The trekking path can be changed
conditionally) Tracking to Palaung (Gold Palaung) village named Pankha
taking 3 hours form hotel. The people to be seen are Gold Palaung tribe not
like the Palaung tribe near Kalaw area. Continue to Ohnmu, the village of
Play tribal people, then proceed to Bawgyo village to study the daily life
of Shan people who are Buddhist but still believe Nats (Spirits). View the
Spirits' House before drive back to hotel dinner and overnight in Hsibaw.

Day12 From Hsibaw-Maymyo(Pyinoolwin) to Mandalay
Early morning departure by road to Hsibaw, the former capital of Northern
Shan Shan State, and quick look in the small town. Stop at some village to
view the country life. Visit local market to watch the people of surrounding
area. View the old Victorian style old house, and short trip with state
coach to the Botanical garden. Proceed to Mandalay for dinner and overnight.

Day13 Visit Kuthotaw Pagoda, the world largest book, then learn the Gold
leaf beating. Drive to Mahagandayon monastery to study the life of Buddhist
monks, and picnic site U Bein bridge. After lunch visit Shweinbin old
monastery, and Mahamuni Pagoda. Silk weaving in Amarapura, quick discovery
of Sagaing, such as Thameikhtaw Nunnery, Ywahtaung village for silver ware
making, and earthen pot making. View the panorama and Sunset from the top of
Sagaing hill. Dinner at local restaurant and enjoy the Marionette show.
Overnight in Mandalay.

Day14 From Mandalay to Bagan
Early morning transfer to the jetty for boat trip along the Ayeyarwaddy
River to Bagan. Lunch with lunch box on the boat. The boat always stops at
big towns, and is busy with loading and unloading with goods, and cargoes.
Evening sunset form the top of the Temple. Dinner and overnight in Bagan.

Day15 The culture tour begins with Shwezigon Pagoda, the prototype of
later Myanmar Stupa then visit Nyaung Oo local market to watch the people of
surrounding area, proceed to Gawdawpalin Temple and Htilominlo Temple, well
noted for its pilaster work, proceed to Dhamanyangyi Temple, famous for its
fine brick work, proceed to Ananda Temple, an architectural crowing
achievement in Bagan. Thatbyinnyu Temple is the tallest temple in Bagan
built in the middle of 12th century. Visit Sulamani Temple to study the
finest brickwork. Visit Minnanthu Village to see the village life. Stop at
Phayathonesu Temple to study the early frescos of Pagan period. Climb
Tayokepyay Temple to view the panorama of surrounding and enjoy the sunset.
Dinner at River view restaurant and overnight in Bagan.

Day16 From Bagan to Pyay (Prome)
Drive to Chauk, the center of petroleum extracting since the British time,
continue to Salay and learn the wooden monastery built in the 15th centaury.
Then proceed to Magway and watch the river view from Myathalun Pagoda.
Proceed to Pyay (Prome) the old capitol of Pyu period on the 3rd . Dinner
and overnight Mingalar garden Hotel.

Day17 Drive to Htonebo, and take the boat to Ahkauktaung Clif on which
hundreds of Buddha Images are carved and Drive back to Pyay by stopping
villages en route, then continue to Themeiktaw Nunnery to learn the life of
Buddhist Nuns. Shwesandaw pagoda is the most famous pagoda built in the time
of the Buddha founded by King Doatdabaung who built the Palace Srikhitarha.
Saehtutgyi Pagoda, the huge gigantic seated Buddha Image is next to
Shwesantaw Pagoda. Dinner and overnight in Yangon.

Day18 Train from Yangon to Moattama (Mawlamyaine).
Train Depart 8:00 Am through Mon State passing Bago, Kyaikhto, Thaton,
Mudon, and Moattama. There is always an activity when the train stop at the
station climbing, leaving and selling and buying. Off course it is the best
way of transportation for the Mon people who speaks with their own language.
Take the ferryboat to Mawlamyaing, the Capital of Mon State and once the
great city of Black Market cargoes for Thailand. Dinner and overnight in
Mawlamyaing.

Day19 Take the ferry boat to catch the Bus explore the Mon State.
Mon state is famous for it's long term and short terms cultivations such as
Rubber plantations, and Durian cultivations, Mangostines and Pamalo
cultivations. Thaton is famous in Buddhist history for the Buddhist Cannon
of which was brought by King Anawrahta of Bagan in 1044 A.D. The old Capital
is still there waiting for the people who love to explore the Archaeology.
Proceed to Kyaikhto and dinner and overnight at Mountain view resort Hotel.

Day20 From Kyaikho to Kimpon and Kyaikhtio
Early morning transfer to Kimpon base camp, and trekking in the forest,
through the valley, over the mountain ranges passing the streams and rivers
in the luscious tress along with the local pilgrims. Some people are old,
and not enough strength to walk for five hours. Sometimes they are carried
by the porters' shoulder on which the comfortable chair is attached. Check
in Kyaikhto hotel and go for Kyaikhtio pagoda platform to watch the great
activities of pilgrimage. Dinner and overnight at Kyaikhto hotel.

Day21 From Kyaikhtio to Bago and Yangon.
Visit to Mokesotaung pagoda, and pagoda environ that always fill with
festive atmosphere. Walk down to Yathetaung to take the local truck catching
for our mother coach. By Study rubber cottage industry and its production as
well as explore the villages en route. Stop at Htaukkyant War Cemetery to
salute the solidiers who died for freedom. Continue to Yangon and Dinner and
overnight Yangon.

Day22 From Yangon to Bangkok.
Morning visit Shwedagon Pagoda before the heat of the Sun, and continue to
Botahtaung Pagoda, then visit National Museum to see gem-studded Royal
Regalia of the Last King Thibaw who was deported to India. Continue to last
minutes shopping at Scotch Market for souvenirs. Evening departure for
Bangkok by TG-306.
