Default Bermuda - Has anyone been to Bermuda within the past couple of weeks??

Has anyone been to Bermuda within the past couple of weeks out of NYC or
Boston?? If so how rough are the seas with the hurricanes stirring them up?

Thanks in advance,
Sue

Hi,

Did the Horizon, Philadelphia to Bermuda August 14th (2004) sailing. Left
Phila and the Captial tried to outrun Charley. Didn't quite make it. Had
about 6 hours of rough seas from about 10:30 PM till about 4AM. Stopped for
about an hour when the waves made the inside of the ship sound like a drum
being pounded on. Some of the Crew that were quartered in the very front of
the ship left their cabins and moved to the back of the ship for a few hours.

Was very glad that I was wearing the Patch. I don't usually but visited the
doctor the day before and she suggested I use it considering the upcoming
weather.

As soon as we moved out of that weather pattern we were fine. Calm seas the
rest of the cruise.

Later in the morning the captain used the PA system to apologize for the
inconvenience. I didn't quite sleep through it. My granddaughter was on deck
watching the pool water slosh out of the pool, she thought it was cool. (She's
15).
