Here's a link to the general World Health Report page:

http://www.who.int/whr/en/

B. I would like to see where all of these would rate were it not for
the 90% of the world's pharmaceuticals being r and d here, the medical
research done here, etc. etc. Then just what would they be
delivering?

Don't be so sure it's that high a percentage. The Europeans have been
spending big time on medical research, plus many of the US drug
companies do research in places where the labor cost is lower than the
US. Canada also has a fairly strong drug research industry.

I went to this site and can't find a single thing talking about the
rankings of different countries health systems. Where is it?

I did not write this.

Of course you didn't. You can't read. Nex

How puerile: but only to be expected. Sigh.

From your vantage point, everything is. Nex

Are you sure you are spelling your surname correctly?
Shouldn't it be "Pillock"?

Not at all. Just that the Dutch electoral system translates votes in
to seats more representatively than the UK system. In the UK system,
extremist parties are kept out of parliament, which has some
advantages. In the Dutch system, extremist parties can get some seats
in parliament, but then inevitably show themselves for what they are,
to general disgust, and disappear at subsequent elections. That system
also has some advantages.

Countrywide I don't think any far-right parties has got the 0.3% in
recent times (if my fag packet maths is right). So even with a PR type
approach it may not be different - unless voting patterns also changed
significantly.

I think the % would increase if people thought their votes stood more
chance of counting towards seats, same with Greens and for that matter
the Liberal Democrats. In the current system, people vote tactically,
if they think voting for their first choice party will be a wasted
vote, then they will vote for another party, or just against their
least liked party. The last time I voted in UK elections, I didn't
really care who I voted for (well not the BNP), I just voted for the
non-Tory party most likely to win in that constituency!

They've got councillors though and some very high results in some
areas, but then the Monster Raving Looney party has also had a fair
few councillors.

Jim.

Is the Monster Raving Looney party still going, now that Screaming
Lord Sutch is dead?

Yep, I believe so, They lost a second leader awhile back when the cat
who replaced Lord Sutch died too, but I'm pretty sure they're still
going.

Cheers,

Jim.

And if you did find it, it would just be propaganda by some socialists,
wouldn't it?

Americans must be falling off their chairs laughing
at their government!

*should* be.

Do.

On the other hand, George Galloway isn't in jail, which bodes poorly for
the UK.

We allow people to have different opinions here. Its called
freedom!

Exactly what is wrong with being "anti-religious" then?

It's simply a prejudice, just like racism. Depends on how anti-religious
you are, I suppose. Vile epithets, OK; but physical attacks on the LDS and
Jehovah's Witness missionaries that come to your front door, not
acceptable (especailly if you poor kerosene on them and threaten'em
with a barbecue lighter).....

don't give me ideas.

this is an english language ng.

Is it? What about people who do not speak English? Are they barred? Who
says so?

If non english speakers were to post in another language, that
would be one thing.
You posted in French when you could have posted in English, your
native language.

Polite people in multi lingual environments switch to the
language that they speak that is most easily understood by the
listener. You did the opposite.....
