Default Travel With OR Without Insurance ?

Purchasing travel insurance can be an inexpensive way to protect
yourself and your children in case of an emergency. In addition, some
insurance companies provide services with their plans that include
round-the-clock support during unexpected emergency situations.

By definiton, insurance is not a winning proposition overall. If
the customer always came out ahead, the insurance company would
go bankrupt.

Insurance is meant to cover those losses which you, yourself,
would find crushing or impossible. When looking for insurance
give careful thought to exactly what you have to cover. And then
read the fine print to make sure they really are covered. Also be
sure you aren't already covered, e.g., my medical insurance
covers doctors and hospitals abroad with the only glitch that I
have to pay first and then submit the bills. Health care costs
are low enough in most places in Europe that I am able to do
this.

And, as always, caveat emptor.

As for the web site given, it is simply a list of links to other
web sites. The owner of the web site apparently gets a per-click
fee. You're better off just googling for - travel insurance -

Not necessarily... (since the insurance company might be able to use
the funds collected before paying out more efficiently than the
customer and therefore the return to both insurance company and
customer could be above what the customer could've got alone, but
that's kinda unlikely )

Definately, I've not bought travel insurance of anything other than
medical sort for a long time now (and not even that as I've only got
to travel on business for a long time actually.)
