Grand Bahama Island - Freeport Lucaya - post hurricane???

Has anyone been to Freeport in the last couple of weeks? The word
from tourism officials is that the beaches are fine, and enough of the
resorts and restaurants are open to make a trip worthwhile. Today's
NY Times travel section indicates that they have a long way to go
before they are recovered. I plan to visit at the end of November,
but it isn't too late to divert if anyone who's been there has some
bad experiences.
