Amtrak trip Providence RI to Orlando Fl advice pls
"Scott in Florida" wrote in message ... It has been....forever since I've taken the train...so I decided to travel from Providence RI to Orlando Fl. Thanksgiving night I leave Providence. 1st train is from Providence RI to Washington DC 10:30 PM Arrive DC 7 AM 2nd train leaves DC at 3PM. I'll have almost a whole day in DC. Tips on travel from Union Station and what to see, please.. The tour tubs that do the rounds of the DC sights call at Union Station IRC. You could do a lot worse than buying a ticket. Tips on riding the train. I'll have two 'over nighters'. Book a sleeper if you can. Take your own food otherwise, Amtrak food is pricey and not very appetising, pack an inflatable pillow if you are sleeping in a seat and consider taking a lightweight blanket. Take plenty to read.
