Expedia and a refund

I recently needed a spur-of-the moment flight and someone else booked
it for me - they used Expedia and under their terms the ticket said it
was non-refundable. The tix were booked on Delta. I ended up
cancelling the flight and decided to deal directly with Delta as I
don't particularly like Expedia. When I called Delta to cancel, they
told me the tix were completely refundable, and they simply credited my
credit card for the full amount. Anyone know what's up with Expedia
telling me it was a non-refundable ticket? These were coach tix, but
incredibly expensive.

I think Expedia just doesn't care to deal with refunds. If you get one
from the airline, great, but if not, Expedia can't be blamed for
offering one and then not following it up.
