To my experience, as I've stayed there many times over that period.
Somewhat chilly in the evenings but still pleasant enough for being outdoor.
There's usually a break from warm temperatures to colder between late
September and early October. However as weather have a tendency of being
unpredictable today we don't know exactly.

That may be a little subjective. I live in a rural area where there are a lot of
migrant workers from the West Indies. Those guys where overalls and sweaters in
the middle of July when we are searching for air conditioning :-)

Last week we had a friend visiting from Texas. She is originally from here, but
has been there for 27 years. She had to go and put on a sweater while my wife
and I felt very warm.

I think that Munich is much like here in September. It can be nice and warm day
and night. You can have warm days and cold nights. You can have nice dry weather
or it can pour rain. It could be cold and frosty. But whatever it is like at any
given time in September, a week later it could be the exact opposite.
